Music Classroom Reveal, 2021-2022

I'm really excited to reveal my music room for this year! This is the first time I'll be in person in over a year, so it was really fun to set it up this year!

Here are a couple pictures of my room.

I decided on a boho rainbow theme this year. I love how calm the colors and the pictures are! Like in previous years, I really tried to be intentional to not cover every single wall with something, so that kids could learn in an engaging setting but not be overwhelmed. Here's the view of the rainbow by my door…it's a wall decal from Amazon, and can be purchased here.

I made the seat markers with my new Cricut Explore Air 2, and placed them 3 feet apart (which is the mandate in my district.) I then used the inside part of the circle (the musical symbol) as line-up markers.

Here is my word wall. The last few years, instead of posting words by individual letters, I decided to group letters. This is much less overwhelming!

A bit further up the wall, I have hand drums hung with 3-M hooks, which is great for easy access! The levels of understanding visuals are in my boho rainbow-themed music classroom decor set.

My first bulletin board is kindness-themed. The bulletin board paper is fadeless paper from Lakeshore Learning…I used it last year and loved it so much, I kept it up! Click here to see an Instagram Reel, showing how I put the board up.

Here is my musical symbol wall, as well as my schedule cards. I love having this wall, because I've seen kids make so many connections as I'm teaching and as they are figuring out which symbol we're discussing!

Here is a picture of some of my instruments–my tubanos, djembe, and gathering drum, and my ukuleles, which I keep in cardboard magazine racks from IKEA:
